In April I had the privilege, nay delight, of traveling to Italy- land of gelato, pizza, pasta and Chinese merchants selling me Venetian memorabilia. There were some incredible sights and new experiences, like bombardinos and men who make tiny horses out of glass and a small subculture of American country singers in Rome. We soaked ourselves in history, immersed ourselves in classical sculpture and were enraptured by a society so different from our own. Then we came home and ate not-pizza-or-pasta and slept in our own beds and it was nice.
These are three of my favourite photos from the trip- one from Venice, one from Florence, one from Rome.
